Minna Is Making Bedding, Plus 4 More Clever Finds

A roundup of what we’ve been reading and needing this week

Here at Clever, we’re all about finding the good stuff—unexpected decorating ideas, day-brightening accents and furnishings, news you need to know—and then delivering that info directly to you. Here’s a roundup of five things that stopped us in our tracks this week that we wanted to be sure you don’t miss.

Minna Made Everything for the Top of the Bed Textiles brand Minna just launched its first bedding collection, which means that beautiful, ethically made goods for a cozy bedroom are here. The 100% cotton pieces are handwoven by a family-run workshop in the village of Larrainzar, in Chiapas, Mexico, and hand-stitched together for a quilt-like quality. The collection offers four mix-and-match styles with its duvet covers, pillowcases, and shams—many of which are reversible. And in even more news, Minna’s signature textiles are now available by the yard, meaning endless possibilities. minna-goods.com

A Coffee Table Collaboration With L.A. Vibes Two design studios that know how to have fun and take risks have come together to create a limited edition coffee table. ETC.etera, the interior design firm founded by Sally Breer and Jake Rodehuth-Harrison, and Another Human, founded by multidisciplinary designer Leah Ring, have joined forces by way of the Block Coffee Table, which debuted at Intro/LA. The table mixes a white-lacquer base with an oversized acrylic top, and shows off the designers’ different aesthetics. The cellophane-filled shapes inside the tabletop reference some of L.A.’s most iconic elements: a setting sun, a blood moon, an ocean wave, a blade of grass, and an iridescent prism. instagram.com

You Can Now Buy and Sell Home Decor on Poshmark The popular app that allows users to sell unwanted clothing just expanded beyond fashion, adding the Home Market. It’s like a mobile thrift store/consignment shop, where a hodgepodge of items can be bought and sold. For now, it’s sticking to smaller goods like pillows, storage solutions, and curtains (so no sofas or bookcases), but we could see that expanding in the future. From decor to organization and beyond—sometimes that means rando items, like, erm, bottles of medicine 🤔—it’s a good place to save on top brands. poshmark.com

Take Some Abstract Art to the Beach We’ve had Slowdown Studios on our radar for years, admiring its limited edition collections of abstract, artist-designed throws. The latest collaboration, with Business & Pleasure Co., expands beyond the blanket—though it’s still included—adding a premium beach umbrella, a folding chair, and beach towels. Featuring the art of French abstract painter Clément Mancini, the collection will stand out in the sand or at the pool. Hurry to scoop it up—it’s available in a very limited run. slowdownstudio.com

The New Yorker Imagines Some New Subscriptions Services Since we’re always trying to live smarter, sometimes it’s a good practice to laugh at imagined, absurd realities and then look around to make sure we’re not actually living in one. Are we really living smarter? Sure this piece is humor, but maybe it’s also a good reminder to check if you really need all those package-laden delivery services in your life. newyorker.com
