  • What would your top priorities be if elected? Addressing climate change is what inspires me to be involved in public service. If we don’t get climate right, it will continue to make every other issue worse. Climate change is also a tremendous opportunity to generate good jobs, to clean our water and air, to improve our health, and to address the inequalities caused by the fossil fuel economy.

  • Politics has become very divisive in recent years, if elected, what would you do to improve the tone?
     I would look to establish relationships with people in both parties and on different sides of issues. I believe in open and respectful communication. Also, listening with the intent to understand is a key value of mine, versus listening with an intent to respond. This is a way of both demonstrating respect and finding common ground.
