The Minnesota Vikings are expected to hire Pittsburgh Steelers senior defensive assistant and linebackers coach Brian Flores as their new defensive coordinator, the team announced Monday evening.

Flores was considered a finalist - along with New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka and Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo - for the Arizona Cardinals' head-coaching vacancy, according to multiple reports.

The Enquirer's Kelsey Conway reported Sunday via Twitter that Anarumo is scheduled to have his second interview with the Cardinals on Friday.

Flores was the head coach of the Miami Dolphins from 2019 to 2021.
