The Miracle League of Columbia chapter was formed in 2021 to create an all-inclusive playground for special needs children and families in Columbia and surrounding counties.

"It's time for some kids to be able to play ball and experience a park and a playground that's for them," CEO of the Miracle League board, Mike Uggla said. "We are extremely grateful for the amazing outpouring of support we have had from this community to help us make this dream become a reality."

Columbia Central High School graduate and MLB player Daniel Uggla have donated $250,000 toward the project.

The organization is more than halfway to its goal of $1.5 million for the playground and ballpark. You can get more information about the Miracle League here.
