It happened Tuesday morning in the 8100 block of SW 21st Court, near Sherman Circle.
ELIOTT RODRIGUEZ: A Miramar man is facing several charges tonight for allegedly spending several hours shooting his gun in an apartment building. Chopper 4 was over the scene in the 8500 block of South Sherman Circle. Police tell CBS4 News that there were no victims related to the shooting, but Shaheem Smith did fire his weapon into a neighbor's apartment, at multiple cars, and in the direction of police officers. As a result, he's facing attempted murder and aggravated assault charges, as well as charges of firearms-- using a firearm, among others.
TANIA RUES: We were able to determine the exact location where the fire-- where the gunshots were being fired from and evacuate the building. Shortly thereafter, the suspect came out of the apartment-- of his apartment and turned himself in.
ELIOTT RODRIGUEZ: And again, no one was hurt in this but, Miramar police do say there was extensive property damage.
