Mishawaka's Anna Rohrer finishes 22nd among women at Boston Marathon

Mishawaka High School and Notre Dame graduate Anna Rohrer finished 22nd among women and 170th overall at Monday's Boston Marathon with a time of 2:30.52.

Some 30,000-plus runners competed in Monday's annual event with the overall men's and women's winners swept by Kenyans. Evans Chebet won the men's title in a time of 2:05.54 and Hellen Obiri was the women's winner in 2:21.38. Scott Fauble was the top American male, finishing sixth in a time of 2:09.44 and Emma Bates was the highest finishing American female, finishing fifth in 2:22.10.

High school: Rohrer's built for future challenges

Rohrer is a 2015 graduate of Mishawaka High School, where she was a two-time state cross country champion and three-time champ in track in the 3,200. She also won the 1,600 state title as a senior.

While at Notre Dame, Roher was a four-time first-team Cross Country All-American, a two-time indoor track first-team All-American and a three-time outdoor track All-American.

High school cross country: Rohrer amazes again

She was an Atlantic Coast Conference cross country champion in 2016 and in 2017 she won ACC titles in the 5,000-meter (indoor and outdoor) and was the 10,000-meter outdoor champion in 2017 and 2019.
