Hear ye, hear ye! The 71st Miss USA was crowned on Monday during a live two-hour broadcast that tackled everything from climate change and racial tension to the controversial return of wide-legged jeans.
Zuri Hall performed hosting duties for the second year in a row, with Julissa Bermudez and Micah Jesse providing additional commentary as sideline correspondents. The evening also included a special performance by classical pianist extraordinaire Chloe Flower.

This year’s competition was held in Reno, Nev. at the Grand Sierra Resort, the same location where Cheslie Kryst — who died by suicide earlier this year — was crowned Miss USA in 2019. The venue was specifically chosen to honor her memory.
The panel of judges included Ashlee Clarke, an American businesswoman and producer; Soo Yeon Lee, a South Korean model and table tennis player; Kirk Myers, an American fitness trainer; Olivia Ponton, an American model and influencer; Aaron Potts, an American fashion designer; and Nicole Williams-English, a Canadian fashion designer and model.
Following a series of dramatic eliminations, five contestants remained: Angel Reyes (Miss Illinois), Natalie Pieper (Miss Nebraska), Morgan Romano (Miss North Carolina), Sir’Quora Carroll (Miss Ohio) and R’Bonney Gabriel (Miss Texas).
