Missing Florida teen identified as girl struck, killed by car: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A 16-year-old girl who went missing in late March was identified as the girl hit and killed by a car overnight by the West Palm Beach Police Department.

Kairi Krute was last seen on the night of March 25 around 7:30 p.m. in the 500 block of 35th Street. She was reported missing two days later to police on March 27.

But on March 26, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office contacted West Palm Beach police about a girl who was fatally struck by a car at around 4 a.m. At the time, they were not able to identify the victim.

Officials later confirmed that Krute was the girl killed by the vehicle.
