Missing local man is found Wednesday in downtown Framingham

FRAMINGHAM — A local man who hadn't been seen for more than two weeks has been found, police said.

Matthew Joyce, 63, was located in downtown Framingham, police spokeswoman Lt. Rachel Mickens said Wednesday afternoon.

A passerby contacted Framingham police at 11 a.m. Wednesday to say they had seen Joyce downtown. Police then confirmed the report, Mickens said.

Police on Tuesday had released an “Attempt to Locate” poster for Joyce, who had not been seen since leaving Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Jan. 2. There was concern because Joyce has frequently been seen in downtown Framingham but no one had seen him since he left the hospital.
