On Friday, January 19, authorities began digging on the property and revealed that they had found human remains. It is unclear what prompted the search.

The family who currently rents the property are not connected to the investigation and say they just moved in last month.

Officials say that two people who previously lived at the home, 55-year-old Kenneth Johnson Junior and 55-year-old Robin Rae Adair, are both facing charges for concealing a death.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to call Detective T. D. Pilkington at 704-866-3329 or Crimestoppers at 704-861-8000.
