Missing person found dead in Colorado National Monument

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Grand Junction Police Department’s search ended tragically for a person who went missing on Jan. 9.

Mesa County Search and Rescue found a dead person matching the description of James Moen inside a car in the area of Ute Canyon Overlook

23-year-old Moen was last seen entering the east entrance of the Colorado National Monument on January 9.

The cause of death is still under investigation. No further information is available at this time.
