Missing Plymouth fisherman's body found in New Hampshire lake after search

STRAFFORD, N.H. − The body of a Plymouth, Massachusetts, man who didn't return home after he went fishing was found in a Strafford lake Tuesday.

Allan Schuh, 73, went fishing at Bow Lake on Tuesday afternoon, New Hampshire Marine Patrol said. His wife called the police after he didn't return home when he said he would, WCVB reported.

Multiple agencies searched for Schuh, including New Hampshire State Police, who sent a helicopter.

His boat and life jacket were found Tuesday. Schuh's body was recovered Wednesday about 15 feet off-shore in about 8 feet of water. Officials said he was not wearing a life jacket.

Bow Lake covers more than 1,100 acres and is about 23 miles east of Concord, New Hampshire.
