Missing San Francisco, Michigan teens found safe in Pittsburg, police say
A pair of missing teenagers — a 14-year-old girl from San Francisco and a 16-year-old boy from Michigan — who were last seen traveling together in Sacramento have been found, law enforcement officials said.
They were found Friday in the East Bay community of Pittsburg, authorities said.
The San Francisco Police Department in an initial statement Feb. 18 said the teen girl had not been seen or heard from by family since leaving her home the night of Feb. 16 or before early afternoon Feb. 17.
Pittsburg police said in a social media post Friday that a city worker recognized the teens at a park and notified authorities. Officers found the teens at Buchanan Park in “safe and in good health.” Police added the two are in the process of being reunited with family.
