According to the initial release from Columbia Police Department, Goodwin went missing only a little more than a mile from her home, last being seen on CC TV footage from the Faith Fellowship Church parking lot where her vehicle was left abandoned.

The initial social media release states that around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, Goodwin entered her vehicle where she would stay for around 30 minutes before abandoning it, though the vantage point where she exited the vehicle was not visible in the footage.

Goodwin’s vehicle was discovered Thursday morning unlocked with her keys and phone inside parked at the church, which is located in the 900 block of Bear Creek Pike in Columbia.

Prior to the discovery of Goodwin on Tuesday, girlfriend to Goodwin’s brother, Kristin Bural, who launched a Go Fund Me campaign for the family, responded to The Herald by email on Dec. 19, imploring Columbia area residents who lived in the area to check their Ring video cameras from Wednesday after 5 p.m. for any possible clues to Goodwin’s disappearance.

Bural previously said police yielded no results during an extensive search last week.

“Locals said the creek was flooding some bridges Wednesday, so the water was raging,” Bural stated in the previous email during the search process.

“Police have already droned fields near the abandoned car, but cannot check near the creek or along tree lines. We did a search party on foot for hours along the creek and tree lines but found nothing.”

Columbia Police Department has yet to return multiple requests for information, as of Wednesday, but told News 2 in a report published on Dec. 17 that Goodwin had made some “concerning statements” before she went missing.

No further elaboration on what those statements included were in the report.

Goodwin, a triplet with two brothers, was the mother of eight-year-old identical twin daughters and a 2007 graduate of Brentwood High School, according to an obituary published by Sumner Funeral & Cremation in Gallatin.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ Community Church, 1215 Hillsboro Rd., in Franklin, Tennessee on Friday, Dec. 30 at 3 p.m.

Investigators are asking any information on Goodwin’s case to be reported to the Columbia Police Department Dispatch at 931-388-2727 or by calling Maury County Crime stoppers at 931-381-4900. Additionally, any tips can be sent by email to SafeTips@ColumbiaTN.com.
