Missouri abortion ban: State congress passes bill banning terminations after 8 weeks

Missouri's state house has passed a bill limiting selective terminations after the eighth week of pregnancy - with no exception for cases of rape or incest.

The state senate passed the bill on Thursday, which now heads to the governor to be signed into law.

Governor Mike Parson, a Republican who has already declared his support for the restrictive abortion measures, is likely to sign the bill.
