Missouri man arrested for child sex crimes after investigation

ANDERSON, Mo. — A southwest Missouri man is arrested after authorities say he committed child sex crimes, again.

Rusty Little, of Anderson, was arrested at his workplace in Joplin on Monday. Sheriff Randee Kaiser says it’s the culmination of an investigation his agency launched earlier this month.

Little is alleged to have performed sexual acts with a 10-year-old girl.

Little is charged with two counts of statutory sodomy of a child less than 12 years of age and sexual misconduct involving a child under the age of 15 as a second offense.

According to court records, Little was convicted of indecent exposure in McDonald County in 1995.

Little bonded out of jail on Tuesday after he was mistakenly released on $25,000 surety only. The court re-issued the warrant at the correct amount which was set at $50,000 surety and $25,000 cash.
