Every year financial institutions, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations turn over millions of dollars in cash and the contents of safe deposit boxes to the Missouri Treasurer’s Office. This occurs after these entities have not had contact with the owner for more than five years.

“As State Treasurer I am excited to return as much unclaimed property to rightful owners as I can..." state treasurer Vivek Malek said earlier this year shortly after being appointed by Gov. Mike Parson. “I am looking forward to being able to work with a dedicated staff to return millions more dollars to Missourians during my administration.”
