Missouri's first Black Congresswoman: “I’ve slept in my car… I don’t want that for anyone else.”

Democratic Congresswoman-Elect Cori Bush is a nurse, a single mom and an activist. She is now headed to D.C. as Missouri’s first Black, female member of Congress. For her, wage inequality is personal; she has had to skip meals so her children could eat. She says, “Being poor is so expensive… We have to do better.”
