Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell formally acknowledged the results of the 2020 presidential election before the Senate on Tuesday morning, December 15, following the Electoral College certification on December 14.

“As of this morning, our country has officially a President-elect and a Vice President-elect,” McConnell said on Tuesday. “The Electoral College has spoken. So, today I want to congratulate President-elect Joe Biden.”
