Apr. 2—Registration for the Kernel Summer League is now open to boys basketball players entering grades 4-8.

Games will be held at Mitchell High School each Monday from June 7 through June 28, while concluding with a tournament on July 12. Players do not need to attend the Mitchell School District and players will be placed on teams by league staff.

Fourth-through-sixth grades will play at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., while seventh and eighth grades will play at 5:45 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Players are guaranteed two 32-minute games per night with the goal of providing a structured setting where athletes can improve skills.

Cost is $50 per player, $80 for two siblings and $100 for three siblings. Scholarships are available for any participant in need.
