Mitchell softball lost two straight at Harrisburg

Aug. 24—HARRISBURG — The Mitchell Kernels softball team lost two straight games Monday at the Harrisburg Softball Fields.

Mitchell had three hits in Game 1 while Harrisburg had 13 hits and one error to end the game halfway through the fourth inning.

Kelsey Amick, Kate Nash and Ally Barlean each had one hit. Keirstyn Krcil pitched three innings for the Kernels and while she struck out one, she also allowed 11 earned runs on 13 hits.

In Game 2, Harrisburg scored at least two runs in each of the four innings and had a total of 11 hits.

Nash had the one lone hit for Mitchell. Macey Linke pitched all four innings, struck out one batter and surrendered 12 earned runs on 11 hits.

Mitchell (0-6) hosts Brookings in a doubleheader at Cadwell Sports Complex on Tuesday.
