Mitchell's Maddie Childs wins division at SDGA Junior Tour event in Brandon

Jul. 21—BRANDON, S.D. — Brandon Golf Course was home to a SDGA Junior Tour event on Wednesday with a host of representatives from Mitchell.

Maddie Childs shot an 11-over round of 82 to take first place in the age 14-15 girls division by one stroke over Sioux Falls' Erin Hurd. Mia Larson competed in the 12-13 girls division and placed third with a 93, while Anna Eliason finished one place behind her, shooting a 99.

Jordan Meyerink shot a 95 to finish in 11th place in the 12-13 boys division, while Brady Reiners shot an 86 and finished 19th in the 14-15 boys division and Marshall Windstrom shot a 91 to finish 24th.

Jager Juracek finished in sixth place in the 16-18 boys after shooting an 8-over, 79. Jackson Skuodas, out of Sioux Falls, won the division by three strokes after shooting a 74.
