Several local organizations are teaming up to host the Mitzvah Day North Hill Clean Up Parade on Saturday.

Participating organizations include Keep Akron Beautiful and Temple Israel of Akron, along with other religious congregations and nonprofit organizations.

Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. at Harris-Jackson Community Learning Center, 1085 Clifton Ave., with parade step-off at 10 a.m. The parade route will be the north sidewalk of Cuyahoga Falls Avenue to Findley Community Learning Center, 65 W. Tallmadge Ave., where Cuyahoga Falls Avenue ends at Tallmadge Avenue. The parade will pick up trash and recyclables along the route.

After the parade, there will be a taco lunch at 12 p.m.

The parade is part of the 2022 Mitzvah Day, with more than 15 Akron-area congregations and organizations participating in a "day of caring for the community," according to Temple Israel, which manages Mitzvah Day. For a full list of the projects, visit mitzvahdayakron.com/current-projects.
