Mizzou football kickoff times, TV networks announced for 4 games

Missouri will play two of its first three games at 11 a.m. central time, according to the kickoff times and television schedule released by the SEC on Thursday. Here’s what to know about each of the Tigers’ first three games of the season, plus their Black Friday matchup with Arkansas.

All times are central time.

Missouri vs. Louisiana Tech

Date: Sept. 1

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Network: ESPNU

The Tigers will open their season in prime time against a new look Louisiana Tech squad on a Thursday. After going 3-9 in 2021 the Bulldogs made a coaching change, firing Skip Holtz.

In his place, Louisiana Tech hired Sonny Cumbie, previously the offensive coordinator and interim head coach at Texas Tech. Cumbie will make his debut with the Bulldogs against Missouri.

Missouri @ Kansas State

Date: Sept. 10

Time: 11: a.m.

Network: ESPN2

The Tigers and Wildcats will meet for the first time since 2011 in Manhattan. Kansas State won that matchup 24-17.

The former Big 12 rivals used to meet on a yearly basis, but the 2022 game will be the first renewal since Missouri joined the SEC. The Tigers have won 60 games against the Wildcats, who have taken 32 of the matchups.

Kansas State will take on South Dakota before Missouri. The Wildcats finished last season 8-5.

Missouri vs. Abilene Christian

Date: Sept. 17

Time: 11 a.m.

Network: ESPN+/ SEC Network+

Every SEC team will play a game shown exclusively on ESPN’s digital platforms this season. In the third week of the season, Missouri gets to take its turn against Abilene Christian.

The Wildcats, who play in the Western Athletic Conference, finished 5-6 in 2021. Abilene Christian will also have a new coach this year, in former Texas Tech defensive coordinator Keith Patterson.

Missouri vs. Arkansas

Date: Nov. 25

Time: 2:30 p.m.

Network: CBS

The Tigers will take a prime Black Friday spot in November for their yearly matchup with Arkansas. Last year the Razorbacks took down Missouri in Fayetteville, 34-17.

The two teams last played in Columbia in 2020, when the Tigers outgunned the Hogs 50-48. Missouri leads the all-time series 9-4.

Arkansas finished the 2021 campaign 9-4, capping off the season with a win over Penn State in the Outback Bowl.
