MLB game costs: Arizona Diamondbacks among most affordable teams to watch in 2023 season

The Arizona Diamondbacks have come under fire for their stadium entering the 2023 season, with MLB stadium rankings, and fans, slamming Chase Field.

But there is something things that the team has done right, however, as MLB Opening Day 2023 approaches on Thursday.

The Diamondbacks continue to be one of baseball's most affordable teams to watch in person.

Bookies.com recently calculated how much it will cost on average to attend an MLB game at each stadium this season and the Diamondbacks' Chase Field came in seventh in terms of being the cheapest venue in baseball.

The calculations added together the cost for four tickets, parking, two beers, two sodas and four hot dogs.

It all adds up to $125.68 for a family of four to attend a Diamondbacks game this season, according to Bookies.com.

The Miami Marlins were the cheapest team to see at their home park this season, with a cost of $73.50, according to the calculations.

The Boston Red Sox, at $235.41, were the most expensive.

Interestingly, it's cheaper to get tickets for 20 MLB teams other than the Diamondbacks, with Bookies.com listing Arizona's cheapest tickets as costing $92.68 for four.

But the Diamondbacks make up ground on other MLB teams in parking, beer, soda and hot dog prices.

Parking can be found for $10 near Chase Field, which ties several other teams for the lowest in the league.

As for beers, two 16-ounce beers cost $9 at a Diamondbacks game, according to Bookies.com, which is second in the league (the Colorado Rockies sell beer for $8).

The $6 for two 20-ounce sodas is among the least expensive in baseball, while the four hot dogs for $8 are the least expensive in MLB.

Maybe Chase Field isn't all bad, huh?
