The Filipino Mobile Legends (MLBB) esports scene has suffered the double loss of two personalities: RSG Ignite coach Ivan Emmanuel "Navi" Gacho and Nexplay EVOS boot camp manager Charles Dave "Chad" Dela Pena.

Navi died on Monday (24 April) at 24 years old while Chad died on Sunday (23 April) at 27 years old.

Navi coached RSG Ignite, the academy team of RSG Slate PH, before his untimely passing. He was also a former player for SG Dragons and was one of the first players in the MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines.

Navi's brother, Isidro Gacho, revealed in a Facebook post that the latter's cause of death was fatal arrhythmia.

Chad served as Nexplay EVOS' boot camp manager prior to his passing and was hailed as "an older brother to players". The cause of his death has not been publicly disclosed.

The official MPL PH Facebook page posted a statement on Monday (24 April) mourning the deaths of Navi and Chad.

"Ivan served as RSG Ignite's coach and was one of the first players to be part of MPL Philippines. Chad, formerly Nexplay EVOS boot camp manager, is one of the well-known figures in the MPL scene who acted as an older brother to players. Most importantly, both led remarkable lives and inspired players to reach their dreams," MPL PH's statement read.

"Please join us in offering our community’s thoughts and deepest sympathies to Chad and Navi's families and friends that they left behind. May you rest in peace, Chad and Navi."
