Today in Savannah:

  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Chatham Fire and EMS Station #12 (9:00 AM)

From my notebook:

  • Savannah Music Festival shared that Benny Goodman, jazz bandleader and “King of Swing”, brought jazz to Carnegie Hall on Jan. 16, 1938, for a historic night of music. Goodman’s jazz ensemble also featured both white and Black jazz musicians in a time when bands and music venues were segregated. (Facebook)

  • The Savannah Theatre is seeking young dancers and singers for their upcoming run of Mamma Mia. The roles are characters in their early 20s and require strong dancing and singing skills. There are also roles open for ensemble members and understudies. (Facebook)

  • Savannah just got a bit sweeter. The Peach Cobbler Factory Savannah, GA opened Friday at 51 Barnard Street, between Broughton and Congress in downtown. (Instagram)
