Mobile Mardi Gras: Order of Inca parade tonight in Downtown Mobile

MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — The Order of Inca paraded tonight in downtown Mobile.

Visitors were at Route A at 6:30 p.m. to watch the next parade in the Port City’s Carnival season.

Route A:

  • Begins at Mobile Civic Center

  • Heads right on Church Street

  • Church Street to Royal Street

  • Royal Street to St. Francis Street

  • St. Francis Street to Conception Street

  • Conception Street to Government Street

  • Government Street to Washington Street

  • Washington Street to Broad Street

  • Broad Street to Spring Hill Avenue

  • Spring Hill Avenue to Washington Street

  • Washington Street to Government Street

  • Ends at Mobile Civic Center

The Order of Inca was founded in 1956 and held its first ball in February 1957, according to their website.

Their first parade was not held until 15 years later on Jan. 31, 1975.

The Order of Inca isn’t the only society parading tonight. Apollo’s Mystic Ladies roll down Main Street in Daphne at 6:45 p.m.
