Quote: "There is a conscription task force on the border with Georgia, including representatives of the enlistment offices and representative authorities. They check whether a person is conscripted or subject to conscription as they leave."
Details: If it is confirmed that a Russian citizen is subject to conscription, he is issued a conscription notice.
It is reported that an estimated 5,500 cars are now queuing at the border. Crossing the border on foot is permitted at the Verkhnii Lars checkpoint.
On 21 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a partial mobilisation.
On 26 September, the FSB sent an armoured vehicle to the border with Georgia, supposedly to ensure that reservists do not leave the country "without completing border crossing formalities".
It was previously reported that the Kremlin is considering the possibility of imposing martial law and banning men from leaving Russia.
