Modesto couple describes harrowing tale of reuniting after working for U.S. while in Afghanistan

Separated by circumstance, war and red tape, a Modesto couple who risked their lives working for the U.S. government in Afghanistan has reunited with their two young daughters they had to leave behind. Basir and Amina Adel first came to the country in January 2020 through a special visa Amina obtained because of her work as a contractor for the U.S. embassy. However, that job put her and her family's lives at risk, she said. See more in the video above.
