MoeZeks Flowers and More is blooming on Chapman Highway, with a name that honors family

South Knoxville welcomed a delightful addition to its local business scene Oct. 3 when MoeZeks Flowers and More opened its doors at 8203 Chapman Highway. Located next to The Crain Group, this charming flower shop is already turning heads with its unique offerings and heartfelt backstory.

Owner Maria Hanley moved with her husband to the Knoxville area from Indiana last year. She has not only embraced the beauty of the Smoky Mountains but has also realized her long-cherished dream of owning a flower shop after working as a florist for 20 years.

The name, MoeZeks Flowers and More, carries a special meaning for Hanley.

"My father used to call me Moe, and my mother calls me Zeke," she said. "When my father passed away earlier this year, I knew MoeZeks was going to be the name because I wanted to honor my parents and be reminded of them each day.”

MoeZeks Flowers and More offers a wide array of services, including custom arrangements for funeral services, birthdays, anniversaries and other special occasions. They even provide convenient delivery options through DoorDash and same-day delivery services, ensuring their custom creations arrive on doorsteps promptly.

Everything is created in-house, including custom wreaths, soaps, arrangements and candles.

MoeZeks Flowers and More is already gearing up for the holiday season, which will include Christmas and Valentine's Day specials. The business will host an open house 3-6 p.m. Nov. 25 to allow customers to experience the shop and see upcoming holiday offers.
