Moldova concerned about attacks on Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and warns of the consequences

Moldova is concerned about potential damage to the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) as a result of the attacks and is calling for IAEA experts to be given access.
This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, European Pravda reports.
"Deeply concerned about the attack on the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. We call for access to international experts from the IAEA. The potential damage to the ZNPP could affect everyone in the region with unprecedented consequences around the world," the ministry tweeted.
On Sunday, in a telephone conversation with European Council president Charles Michel, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for sanctions to be imposed on the Russian nuclear industry and nuclear fuel due to the attacks on the ZNPP.
On 5 August, Energoatom [the Ukrainian state nuclear power station operator] reported that the Russian occupiers had attacked the territory of the ZNPP twice in one day.
On the evening of 6 August, the Russian occupiers fired rockets at Enerhodar, hitting the ZNPP site directly next to the station's dry storage of spent nuclear fuel, Energoatom reported.
On 6 August, the European Union condemned Russia's military activities in the area around the ZNPP.
