Wearing big poofy dresses and thousands of pounds of diamonds all seems like a fairytale. However, this style of dressing up is just another Rose Ball for Monaco’s royal family.

At this weekend’s black tie event, the style-savvy brood proved that they’ve most certainly mastered the art of glamorous dressing over the years.

The annual event, which took place in Monte Carlo, included a star-studded guest list including the one and only Karl Lagerfeld - royalty, of the fashion kind.

But it wasn’t just the elite guests that got everyone talking - it was the show-stopping style.

Princess Caroline’s daughters seemed keen to show off their personal style in outfits that seem eccentric by British standards. Charlotte Casiraghi wore a embellished satin jumpsuit that she paired with an on-trend cape while Princess Alexandra wore an organza number with an empire waist and bow detail.

Both women kept their hair and make-up natural in order to match their chic and timeless looks.
