SOFTBALL

Freedom 10-4, Wrightstown 0-0

FREEDOM - Kailey Stordeur pitched a complete game, gave up seven hits and struck out five to pitch the Irish to a victory in the first game of their doubleheader sweep.

Rylie Murphy was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Sadie Jarmolowicz added two hits and two RBIs, and Lauren Scheibe also drove in two runs.

Wrightstown got two hits each from Briley Durocher and Mallory Colwell.

Peyton VandeLoo pitched a four-hit shutout for Freedom in the second game. She walked five and struck out 10.

Rachel Koss was 2-for-2 for Freedom. Murphy hit a double and Marlee Smith hit a triple.

Kaukauna 15, Hortonville 0

KAUKAUNA - The Ghosts teed off on the Polar Bears, led by Summer Schmidt with a 3-for-3 day at the plate, scoring a pair of runs and driving in two in the Fox Valley Association win.

Kally Meredith scored three runs and had three RBIs. Paige Miller was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs. Karly Meredith had two hits in four at-bats, Taryn Christopher collected two hits in three at-bats with a double, Paige Bodenheimer and Jozy Ebben each went 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, Ava Bloch had a double and three RBIs, and Hailie Peters had two hits in three at-bats for Kaukauna.

Karly Meredith earned the win in the circle after four innings, giving up two hits and a walk while striking out four.

Kimberly 11, Appleton West 1

APPLETON - The Papermakers had 14 hits, including home runs by Lilly Hurt and Jayda Nelson, in the six-inning victory.

Paige Wyngaard was 3-for-3 with a triple, Sophie Hermus was 2-for-2 with a double and a triple, Nelson was 2-for-3 and Hurt was 2-for-3 also with a double. Nelson had three RBIs, while Hurt and Sophie Girard each had two RBIs.

Aleigh Buss pitched four innings and gave up one run with six strikeouts. Eva Johnson pitched two innings.

New London 6, Menasha 1

MENASHA - New London capitalized on two Bluejays errors in the Bay Conference victory.

Sommer Krull went 4-for-4 with a pair of runs to lead the Bulldogs’ offense. Kenna Mix added two hits, an RBI and a run scored in four at-bats. Eve Hedtke walked and doubled while driving in two runs, and Savannah Schaff went 1-for-2 with a walk, stolen base, run scored and an RBI.

Karly Helf went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Menasha at the plate and Sam Shuey homered in the second inning to deliver the lone run for the Bluejays.

Mix earned the win for New London, pitching all seven innings for the Bulldogs, giving up five hits, a walk and a run while striking out 11.

Teagan Massey-Plamann took the loss for Menasha after three innings pitched, giving up eight hits, two walks, and six runs (two earned) with a single strikeout.

West De Pere 15, Green Bay East/West 0

DE PERE - Nevaeh Wagendorf pitched a perfect game for the Phantoms with two strikeouts.

West De Pere scored eight runs in the first inning, one in the second, four in the third and two in the fourth on eight total hits.

Lily Bukoske went 2-for-3 with a two-run double in the first and another RBI double in the second, along with a run scored. Karleigh Linssen went 2-for-4 with a two-run double in the third, a pair of runs scored, and three RBIs.

Leah Kocken and Ella Arendt were each hit by a pitch twice and scored three times while Arendt drove in three. Megan Burns had three RBIs for the Phantoms and Wagendorf collected two hits for herself and scored.

Jasmin Campbell took the loss for the Wildcats, pitching 3⅓ innings while giving up eight hits, a walk, and 15 runs (three earned), along with one strikeout.

Southern Door 17, Reedsville 0

BRUSSELS - The Eagles shut out the Panthers in three innings.

Chloe Lustila led Southern Door with three hits and both Sophia Counard and Greta Gutschow each recorded a pair for the Eagles.

Reedsville had one hit, a double by Josee Busse.

The winning pitcher for Southern Door was Ashlyn Delfosse. Chloe Lustila pitched one inning in relief.

The losing pitcher was Kayla Bubolz.

Mayville 9, North Fond du Lac 2

NORTH FOND DU LAC - The Cardinals scored four runs in the first inning and two in the second inning to beat the Orioles.

Allie Schwirtz went 2-4 with a triple, and Avah Feucht and Harley Schabel each went 2-4 with two RBIs to lead Mayville.

North Fond du Lac was led by Allison Now with two hits. Cami Nitz and Lauren Stettbacher were both 1-for-3 with an RBI. Madison Miller had a double for the Orioles.

Schwirtz was the winning pitcher.

Luxemburg-Casco 13, Denmark 2

LUXEMBURG - The Spartans knocked in seven runs in the fourth inning with Kylie Hanson, Rylan Kaminski, Jillian Jorgensen and Maggie Hanmann all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Denmark scored one run in the first inning on an Audrey Baugnet single. The Vikings’ final run came in the fifth inning when Olivia Ullman and Ashley Schultz both singled and each advanced on a passed ball. Baugnet then hit a sacrifice fly to score Ullman before the Spartans turned their second double play to end the game.

Leading hitters for Luxemburg-Casco included Payton Kaminski, who went 2-for-3, Hanson went 2-for-2 with an RBI, Josie Dorner was also 2-for 2 with two RBIs, and Jorgensen finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs.

Schultz led Denmark with two hits in three at-bats.

Savannah Jandrin earned the win for Luxemburg-Casco after five innings, allowing two runs and a walk on eight hits, striking out two.

Amber Johanek took the loss for the Vikings. The righty allowed nine hits and 10 runs over three innings while striking out one.

Bonduel 8, Iola-Scandinavia 2

IOLA - Tied 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning, Bonduel’s Audrey Weier and Nakiyan Henning each got on base with hits followed by a walk to Maddy Sokolski. Abby Stoltenow then hit a two-out single that plated a pair of go-ahead runs.

The Bears added four more runs in the seventh, including a solo home run by Hailee Thompson. Thompson finished 2-for-3, along with Weier, and Henning was 3-for-4.

Henning pitched a complete game to earn the win for Bonduel, giving up five hits, two walks and two runs (one earned) in seven innings with one strikeout.

Clara Koles went 1-for-2 for Iola-Scandinavia with a run scored and Jaelyn Sivertson went 1-for-4, scoring the Thunderbirds’ other run. Madeline Much was 2-for-4 and Brooklyn Berrens went 1-for-4.

Hilbert 5, NEW Lutheran 2

HILBERT - The Wolves scored four runs in the fifth inning to rally for the nonconference win.

Chloe Koslowski drove in the tying and go-ahead run with a two-run double in the fifth inning. Megan Woelfel and Makayla Plate followed with run-scoring singles. Woelfel was 3-for-3 with two RBIs.

Alandra Grenzer pitched a complete game for the win, striking out five while allowing one earned run on five hits.

Lexie Meerstein took the loss for GB NEW Lutheran.

Mosinee 4-0, Lakeland 1-2

MOSINEE - Mosinee scored three runs in the fourth inning in a 4-1 victory in the first game, and Lakeland scored two runs in the fourth inning in the second game for a 2-0 victory in the doubleheader split.

Amber Gonzalez, Maggie Woller, Ava Busse and Briley Kaczor had RBIs in the win for Mosinee. Busse had a double and Woller had a triple.

Busse was the winning pitcher. She allowed three hits, an unearned run and struck out five in the complete game.

Mosinee had only three hits in the second game.

Busse took the loss but allowed only four hits and two unearned runs for Mosinee in the second game. He struck out four.

Coleman 9, Crivitz 3

CRIVITZ - Courtney DenRuyter went 1-for-4 with a double, two stolen bases and two runs scored and Macy Nowak homered and drove in three in three at-bats for Coleman.

Annabelle Markiewicz went 2-for-4 with two steals, a run and an RBI. Alyssa Kurth went 1-for-4 with a run and drove in two. Shakira Marks went 1-for-2 with a walk, a run and two steals. Rachel Terp swiped three bags to give the Cougars nine total as a team.

Hattie Frievalt led Crivitz with two hits in four at-bats and Taryn Tracy collected the lone RBI. The Wolverines stole 12 total bases, led by Tracy with four, Megan Pusick with three and Frievalt and Madelyn Welty had two each.

DenRuyter earned the win for Coleman, going seven innings, giving up four hits, five walks and three runs while striking out 14.

Tracy took the loss for Crivitz after 1⅓ innings, giving up just a solo hit.

New Holstein 9, Roncalli 1

NEW HOLSTEIN - With the score tied 1-1 and New Holstein batting in the bottom of the fifth, Hayli Kohlman homered on an 0-1 count, scoring three runs for the Huskies and busting open the game.

Roncalli got things started in the first inning when Gretchen Kapic grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the second inning, New Holstein tied things up with a Jacey Sesing RBI groundout.

The Huskies scored five runs in the sixth inning, led by Jenna Karls, Jordyn Meyer and Alyssa Schneider, who all drove in runs.

New Holstein totaled eight hits, with Karls, Kylee Pierquet and Autumn Born each collecting multiple, and tore up the base paths, as two players stole multiple bases. Karls led the way with two.

The Jets had six total hits in the game, with Madison Keller and Ellie Jagemann each collecting two to lead Roncalli.

Natalie Ziebell got the win for New Holstein after pitching seven innings, allowing one run on six hits, striking out five and walking zero.

Kapic took the loss for the Jets. The right-hander lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out five.

Mishicot 15, Sevastopol 2

SEVASTOPOL - Mishicot held the Pioneers to just three total hits in the victory.

Cora Nelson, Cora Stodola and Kasey Brouchoud each collected three hits. Baylie Carrico also had multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a walk, a pair of runs scored and two RBIs.

Bailey Rikkola, Naomi Rikkola and Addison Schauske each had a hit for Sevastopol, with Bailey Rikkola’s going for a double.

Stodola earned the win for Mishicot, giving up three hits, two walks and two runs (none earned) with four strikeouts.

Libby Ash took the loss for Sevastopol, giving up nine hits, two walks and six runs (five earned) with a strikeout.

Brillion 15, Kiel 4

KIEL - Tied at 4-4 going into the seventh inning, the wheels fell off for Kiel leading to 11 runs for Brillion.

The Raiders had four hits to the Lions' seven. Paige Wilkens went 1-for-2 with a walk, hit by pitch, a run scored and a stolen base. Addi Karls had one hit and two RBIs, Jaidyn Spencer and Liz Neils each had a hit, and Neils added an RBI.

Neils took the loss for Kiel, striking out five, walking four and giving up only one earned run.

Xavier 11, St. Mary Catholic 6 (Saturday)

FOX CROSSING - The Hawks sent 15 batters to the plate and scored 11 runs in the third inning in the nonconference win over the Zephyrs.

Xavier had eight hits in the big inning. Mariah Potter and Ella Bauman both had three-RBI doubles in the inning.

Elsa Dvorachek, Bauman, Chloe Columbo and Meredith Schultz each had two hits for Xavier. Bauman finished with four RBIs.

Adela Thiel had two hits, including a double, for SMC.

Addison Hervey pitched four innings to get the win for Xavier. She allowed one hit, two unearned runs and struck out 11.

BASEBALL

Notre Dame 13, Sheboygan South 2

GREEN BAY - The Tritons improved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the Fox River Classic Conference with the five-inning win.

Notre Dame broke open the game with 11 runs in the fourth inning and finished with 13 hits.

Deuce Musial was 3-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and three RBIs. Landen Lozier was 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Brady LaViolette had a homer and three RBIs, and Donatello Badalamenti had two doubles and drove in a run.

Lozier pitched two scoreless innings. He allowed one hit, walked one and struck out three.

Jacob Paltzer was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Sheboygan South. Ryan Stephen added two hits.

Denmark 5, Little Chute 3

LITTLE CHUTE - The Vikings improved to 8-0 in the North Eastern Conference and 11-1 overall with the victory.

Trailing 3-1 in the fifth, Denmark scored two runs to tie it 3-3. Lucas Miller doubled and scored on Izaac Dittmer’s groundout, then Rheis Johnson followed with a home run to tie it.

In the seventh, Ethan Ovsak walked, Miller singled, Dittmer followed with a sacrifice fly and Johnson had an RBI single.

Johnson had three hits and two RBIs. Miller and Josh Gajeski each had two hits.

Little Chute (6-3) scored two runs in the first and added another in the second. Garrett Johnson and Ethan Melendez had RBI singles for Little Chute.

Miller was the winning pitcher, going 6⅔ innings and giving up five hits while striking out five. Grant Schroeder recorded a strikeout to end the game.

Lomira 8, Fond du Lac 2

LOMIRA - Josh Steger and Brady Mann had three hits each to lead the Lions to the nonconference win over the Cardinals.

Mann hit his first home run of the season.

Steger was the winning pitcher.

Chilton 9, Campbellsport 5

CAMPBELLSPORT - The Tigers exploded for 13 hits in the nonconference win over the Cougars.

Chilton scored three runs in the sixth inning and two in the seventh to pull away.

Austin Grube had three hits, including a double, for Chilton. Slatt Nolan, Kenyon Davidson, Brandon Heimann and Grant Mueller each had two hits. Ryan Lisowe drove in three runs.

Hudson Ludwig pitched three innings in relief to get the win. He did not allow a hit or a run.

Mishicot 10, Valders 0

MISHICOT - Mishicot limited the Vikings to only three singles in the victory.

Nolan Sand went 2-for-3 for Mishicot with a walk, three runs scored, four stolen bases and an RBI. Wyatt Arkens also had two hits in three at-bats, with a walk, a run, a steal and two RBIs, and Kaden Kowalski was 2-for-4 with a stolen base, and Ben Griffey went 1-for-4 with four RBIs.

Jack Wendling, Kayden Kish and Dawson Kocian each collected a hit for Valders.

Sand earned the win for Mishicot, giving up three hits and two walks while striking out five through as many innings.

Lucas Spindler took the loss for Valders, giving up five hits, two walks, and six runs in three innings with a single strikeout.

Bonduel 1, Iola-Scandinavia 0

BONDUEL - Noah Weier pitched six scoreless innings before Cade Johnson finished up for the save to lead the Bears to the victory.

Weier allowed three hits and struck out seven. Johnson did not allow a hit and struck out two.

Parker Gullixon pitched well for the Thunderbirds but the Bears pushed across a run in the fourth on a Cooper Salerno single and that held up for the win. Six players had a hit for the Bears, with Easton Reinke hitting a double.

Bonduel is 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Central Wisconsin Conference.

Pacelli 11, Wild Rose 1

WILD ROSE - The Cardinals scored 10 runs in the first inning and finished with 13 hits in the five-inning win.

Brock Birrenkott pitched a five-inning no-hitter for Pacelli. He allowed one run, walked two and struck out nine.

Asher Jordan was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs. Malise Beduhn, Birrenkott and Peyton Flees each had two hits. Flees, Lucas Haemmerle and Grant Hinker each drove in two runs.

Pacelli is now 4-5 overall and 3-1 in the CWC-South.

Coleman 14, Crivitz 2

CRIVITZ - The Cougars started the game off with four runs in the first, added four in the fourth and plated six in the seventh to wrap things up.

Joey Olsen collected four hits, scored a run and had an RBI in five at-bats to lead Coleman, followed by Logan Kurth with three hits and two RBIs in four at-bats. Tyler Rennie had the only extra-base hit for the Cougars - a double - and drove in three.

Tegan Werner recorded the lone multi-hit game for Crivitz, with two hits in three at-bats, along with a walk and a run scored. Sean Christiansen brought in both of the Wolverines’ runs.

Kurth earned the win for Coleman, giving up three hits, two walks and the pair of runs in four innings with nine strikeouts.

Brady Tadisch took the loss for Crivitz, giving up four hits, a walk, and five runs (two earned) while striking out three.

Shiocton 5, Menominee Indian 0

SHIOCTON - Dawson Schmidt had a 2-for-3 day with a pair of doubles and RBIs, Sawyer Young was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and Braxton Ebben went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI to lead the Chiefs offensively.

Pittsville 6, Port Edwards 2

PORT EDWARDS - The Panthers struck for all six of their runs in the top sixth inning to earn the victory.

Brad Neve went 1-for-4 with two RBIs and Braden Friday had a pinch-hit, two-RBI double for Pittsville.

Logan Zickert earned the win after five strong innings, giving up seven hits, a walk and two earned runs with nine strikeouts.

Jacob Orheim took the loss for Port Edwards after 5⅔ innings pitched, giving up seven hits, five walks, six runs (one earned) and striking out four.

Abbotsford/Colby 13, Chequamegon 3

ABBOTSFORD - The Falcons collected 12 hits in their defeat of the Eagles, led by Mateo Lopez with three in four at-bats. Lopez doubled and scored twice, stole two bases and drove in two runs.

JV Castillo, Evan Reis and Brandon Diedrich each had two hits. Castillo doubled, walked and scored twice, drove in a run and swiped five bags, Reis tripled and scored, driving in two, and Diedrich also doubled and walked.

Castillo picked up the win after four innings, giving up two hits, two walks and two runs while striking out nine.

GIRLS SOCCER

D.C. Everest 6, Assumption 0

SCHOFIELD - The Evergreens led 4-0 at halftime in the nonconference win over the Royals.

Ellia Roble scored three goals, all in the first half, for Everest (3-3-1). Ava Hopper, Kylie Koch and Zongshia Lo also scored goals. Grace Sandquist had two assists.

Everest goalie Makenna Kampmann made eight saves. Morgan Reichl had eight saves for Assumption (3-2).

Wrightstown 8, Clintonville 0

CLINTONVILLE - Morgan Maitland had two goals and an assist, and Leah Lennon had two goals for the Tigers in the North Eastern Conference win.

Venna Vandewalle, Grace Peters, Zoe Bratz and Ella Fandry also scored goals. Bratz had three assists and Tara Theunis had two assists.

Ava Krueger had two saves in goal for Wrightstown.

Kiel 4, Sheboygan Falls 1

SHEBOYGAN FALLS - Taylor Schad scored three goals to lead the Raiders to the victory over the Falcons.

Taavi Saeger also scored for Kiel.

Abby Moore had two assists. Aubrey Arnold and Maddie McDole also had assists.

Kiel’s defense was led by Addison Uselding, Ava Neils and Elisheba Sippel.

Danielle Mueller had six saves and Kylie Kroll had four saves in goal for Kiel.

Fox Valley Lutheran 13, Little Chute 0

APPLETON - Andrea Neuser scored three goals, and Alli Olson and Brooke Callaway had two goals each for the Foxes in the North Eastern Conference win.

Katya Fett, Gia Bay, Jessie Griepentrog, Joie Gutekunst, Carolina Qualmann and Brielle Weise also scored for FVL. Bay also had two assists.

FVL goalie Alexis Appleton made one save.

Omro 2, Central Wisconsin Christian 1

WAUPUN - Lindi Boeck scored a goal in each half to lead the Foxes to the victory over the Crusaders.

Central Wisconsin Christian’s goal was scored by Erin Ruis in the first half.

Omro had 17 shots on goal and CWC had six.

Seymour 4, Green Bay East 0

SEYMOUR - On a cold and wet day, Green Bay East struggled to find any connection and went down early to Seymour, conceding three first-half goals.

The Red Devils started to find a little bit of a groove and applied some pressure to the Thunder after the break, but were never able to find any success that ended in the back of the net. Seymour finished off the game with another goal late.

East goalkeeper Jamaya Mariner had 10 saves in the game.
