DIVISION 1 REGIONAL FINAL
APPLETON EAST 64, SUPERIOR 60
APPLETON - Tyler Borowski’s three-point play with 3.5 seconds remaining lifted the Patriots to the regional final win.
Appleton East trailed 57-54 with 1:38 remaining after Superior converted two free throws.

Carter Thompson’s layup pulled East within one point, and Superior lost the ball out of bounds.
A layup by Borowski put East ahead 58-57, but Jake Kidd scored on a layup to put Superior back on top.
Another layup by Borowski gave the Patriots a 60-59 lead with 39 seconds remaining.
Kidd made one free throw with 18 seconds remaining to tie the game at 60-60, but he missed the second free throw. East secured the rebound and called a timeout with 13 seconds remaining.
After the pause, the Patriots inbounded and eventually got the ball to Borowski. He drove to his right down the lane and put up a layup with his right hand. The shot went in off the glass, he was fouled and converted the free throw to put the Patriots in front 63-60.
Borowski led the Patriots with 19 points.Caleb Glaser added 13.
Superior was led by Kidd with 16 points.
The Patriots advance to Thursday's sectional semifinal against Eau Claire Memorial.
