Money SMART is Aug. 8
Jul. 5—Senior Wellness Center, 1150 Powder Springs Street in Marietta, will have Money SMART on Aug. 8 from 10 to 11 a.m.
Financial exploitation has been called "the crime of the 21st century." It is suggested that older adults lost at least $2.9 billion in 2010 alone from a broad range of perpetrators, including known and trusted persons as well as strangers.
Seniors can plan for financial well-being by learning to identify and prevent financial exploitation, including identity theft, scams and homeowner mortgage schemes. Presented by Retired Seniors Volunteer Program.
