Monica And Rocko’s Eldest Son Rodney Just Slayed His High School Prom Photos

Just as her 30-year career has elapsed in the blink of an eye, singer Monica‘s children are growing as rapidly.

Her eldest son, Rodney, a rapper and producer in his own right who goes by the stage name Rodneyy, attended his high school prom, and the “The Boy is Mine” singer posted pictures of him looking dapper in his hybrid black and cream suit ensemble.

In the spirit of prom, Rodney brought a date to the esteemed occasion.

The young lady wore an all-black gown, sheer and covered in sequins, and wore her hair down with a middle part. Fans commented on the post saying his date looked like a younger version of his beloved mother.

In addition to solo and couple photos, Monica, 42, and his two siblings ⁠— Laiyah, 9, and Romelo, 15 ⁠— were included in some of the pictures, making it a collective familial experience.

The singer shares Laiyah with Los Angeles Laker Shannon Brown. They were married for nine years before their 2019 divorce. 

Monica’s two sons’ father is rapper Rodney “Rocko” Hill. They were engaged for five years. 

The proud dad expressed support for his son on prom night by sharing a photo of him on his Insta Story and calling him a “Prom Killa,” as Essence reported.
