Dev Patel's film Monkey Man has already earned rave reviews as one of the most audacious action movies of the year — and you'll soon be able to bring the film home.

The thriller is out in cinemas from Friday (April 5), with Patel starring as an underground fight club worker out for revenge at any cost against the corrupt leaders responsible for his mother's death.

While Monkey Man is only just now arriving in cinemas, you can already pre-order the film on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray for £24.99 via Zavvi.

If you'd prefer the standard Blu-ray set, Zavvi has it available for pre-order for £14.99. The release date for both versions is expected for later this year.

Dev Patel recently chatted with Digital Spy about the impact of making Monkey Man, since it's a film he would have loved to have seen as a young man.

"To be honest, that's one of the reasons why I started making it," he admitted. "What's the film that I so desperately want to see? It was funny."

The film is produced by horror icon Jordan Peele — and the filmmaker told us that he's already thinking about ways to work with Dev again.

"This is one of the blessings for me in MonkeyPaw productions," he said. "It’s that I always wanted to work with Dev as an actor. It will happen."

The film was originally produced for Netflix but Peele was so impressed with Monkey Man after seeing it that he purchased the rights in order to guarantee it a theatrical release.

The action movie also features Russian Doll's Sharlto Copley, Bollywood icon Pitobash and Vipin Sharma (Hotel Mumbai) in its ensemble cast.
