Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office on scene of major crash in Freehold Township

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP - The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office is on the scene of what a spokesman for the agency described as “a serious motor vehicle collision” in the area of Siloam and Old Turkey Swamp roads on Thursday evening.

The crash took place shortly after 5 p.m. and motorists were still being directed away from the scene several hours later, said Mark Spivey, a spokesman for the Prosecutor’s Office.

“We are asking the public to please stay clear of the area, and more information will be released as it becomes available,” Spivey said.

In addition to investigators from the Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) has also been summoned to the site, he said.
