Monroe County school announcements for Jan. 26
The following school announcements are for Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023. They are from the school district's official social media accounts and websites.
The Winter Storm Warning for Monroe County expired Wednesday night; but travel conditions are not consistent. "Many subdivisions & back roads have not been cleared," Huron New Boston Superintendent Donovan Rowe said in his announcement regarding today's school closing.
Bedford Public Schools Superintendent Carl Shultz also cited "unsafe road conditions for our bus fleet. We did everything that we could to be prepared, but sometimes you just have to understand that it is about safety."

Airport Community Schools are closed today.
Bedford Public Schools are closed today.
Dundee Community Schools are closed today.
Huron New Boston schools are closed today.
Ida Community Schools are closed today.
Jefferson Schools are closed today.
Meadow Montessori School is closed today, child care is available.
Milan Area Schools are closed today.
Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools are closed today.
Monroe County Intermediate School District reports the Educational Center, Transition Center, Whitman Center, Project Search classrooms and Administration Building will be closed.
Monroe County Middle College is closed today; the Information Night scheduled for 6 p.m. is still taking place.
Monroe Public Schools are closed today. The closing announcement includes parochial schools, Rainbow Preschool and Kids Club.
New Bedford Academy is closed.
St. Mary Catholic in Monroe is closed today.
Summerfield Schools are closed today.
Reminder: Check with your district or school about athletic / after-school events as some games are expected to be played today as scheduled. Most schedules will be firmed up by noon.
