Monroe County Sheriff's Office nurse manager earns 'Nurse of the Year' honor

Corrections Division Nurse Manager Alexiss Conte has been named “Nurse of the Year” by Advanced Correctional Healthcare (ACH), Monroe County Sheriff Troy Goodnough announced.

The Corrections Division medical service is contracted out to ACH. ACH currently has 350 jail medical contracts in 20 states and employs 855 nurses.

Conte is a Jefferson High School graduate and lives in Monroe County. She is currently attending the Professional Skills Institute to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing.

“Please join us in congratulating Nurse Alexiss for this remarkable award,” Goodnough said.
