Monroe native to appear on NBC's 'Dancing With Myself' Tuesday

A Monroe native will be a contestant on a new network television show next week.

Macky "CatoCade" James, from Monroe and currently in New Orleans, will be competing on next week's episode of NBC’s new primetime competition show, "Dancing With Myself," Tuesday.

The new show, which airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m., will feature James and 11 other contestants who will learn the routines, add their unique flair, and then perform their hearts out in front of a live studio audience.

Inspired by the millions tuning in to watch the latest dance crazes on social media, each episode will see a group of everyday people compete in a series of high-energy dance challenges.

As each round of the competition progresses, Shakira, Nick Jonas and Liza Koshey will provide instant feedback and encouragement.

They'll go through six different rounds of competition, and the studio audience will vote for the most entertaining dancers each round, as well as who landed the moves best. By the end of the night, it will come down to the final two as they face off one-on-one to determine the winner.

Ultimately, it’s the studio audience that decides who is named best dancer of the night and gets to take home the cash prize.
