Monroe police seek suspects in carjacking Saturday that left two people dead
Two suspects in a carjacking that led to the deaths of two people Saturday in Monroe are sought by police, who are asking for the public's assistance with the investigation.

Both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous, the Monroe Public Safety Department said in a post on Facebook.
"Officers are working diligently to identify and apprehend the suspect responsible for this act and are asking for the public’s help with any information that can aid in this investigation," the post said.
Police responded at 3:37 p.m. Saturday to a report of a carjacking in progress at the Highlander Marker, 1030 E. Front St., the post said. Upon arrival, officer discovered two victims; one victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, and the other died at a local hospital. Police are withholding the identities of the victims.
Police released security video images of the suspects and the stolen pickup. One of the suspects is a white man with a larger build, shaved head, long beard and a tattoo below his right ear. The other suspect is a black man with long hair in braids and short facial hair and a medium build. The pickup is blue with a "super crew" cab, which has regular doors for the backseat passengers.
Monroe police ask anyone who may have witnessed the incident, observed any suspicious activity in the vicinity, or possess information relevant to this case to contact Central Dispatch at 734-243-7070 or 734-243-7518.
