Monroe Public Schools to livestream board meetings

Monroe Public Schools’ Board of Education has begun to livestream its meetings.

The public can now watch the meetings on their personal devices. Wednesday’s special board meeting was the first to have a livestreaming option.

“One-way livestreaming of all regular and special board meetings of the Monroe Public Schools’ Board of Education will be provided, except for those meetings that involve employee or student discipline or those that are for closed session only, in accordance with the Open Meetings Act,” the school board said.

Each broadcast will begin just before the start of the meeting. Audio will start with the roll call to open the meeting.

The livestream link is available on the Board of Education page of the Monroe Public Schools website. Access the livestream at tinyurl.com/MonroeMIBoEMtg. The meetings will be on the livestreaming service Zoom.
