Montgomery Fire/Rescue saves dog from house fire

Fires make victims of humans and pets alike, and Montgomery Fire/Rescue makes every effort to save them both. That includes a furry friend they found in a house fire Friday in the Fairview Avenue area, according to Assistant Chief Stanley L. Cooper.

Firefighters swiftly took action to rescue and care for the dog, which was soon up and wagging its tail, according to MFR.

“They just do a tremendous job,” Cooper said of the firefighters. “They have a passion for what they do for the citizens of Montgomery. They’re just proud to serve this great city.”

That includes going the extra mile for residents’ four-legged family members.
