Two separate construction projects are happening in the Montlake neighborhood this weekend, said the Washington State Department of Transportation.
On Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Montlake Bridge will be down to just one open lane in each direction.
This is for bridge maintenance work.
On Friday, March 10 at 10 p.m. to Monday, March 13 at 5 a.m., East Montlake Place East, commonly known as Montlake Boulevard, will be closed between East Louisa Street and Lake Washington Boulevard.
It’s part of the SR 520 Montlake project. Crews will be installing a crucial draining system, removing trees, and repaving the road.
Although it’s a small closure, WSDOT warns the impact will be big for the Montlake neighborhood.
