More than $1,000 in stolen items returned to Lodi retail store

(FOX40.COM) — A traffic stop in Lodi on Jan. 18 resulted in the recovery of more than $1,000 in stolen retail items and the arrest of two people, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

While stopping a vehicle near West Keetleman Lane and Crescent Avenue for a vehicle code violation, deputies came in contact with Tammy Christian who initially provided deputies with a false name.

Christian was found to have a felony warrant for grand theft and was on probation. Her passenger, David Beck was also found to be on probation.

After detaining Christian and Beck, deputies searched the vehicle and located about $1,114 worth of items that had been stolen from a Marshalls Department Store in Lodi.

Beck and Christian were booked into the San Joaquin County Jail. Beck is facing a charge of grand theft and Christian is facing a charge of false identification to a peace officer and the charges on her warrant.

The stolen items were returned to the store.
