More than 100 beers to try? Welcome to Memphis Brewfest

Attention all beer lovers! Memphis Brewfest in Liberty Park will celebrate its 12th year on Saturday.

This year’s event will once again be on the field of the Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

The popular beer lovers' event features local food trucks, live music, games, vendors and — as always — unlimited beer samples of more than 100 beers, seltzers and spiked ciders from around the world.

This event offers local and regional favorites, but sets itself apart by bringing national and international beer brands to the Mid-South as well.

“Attendees love the opportunity to experience beers that you don’t normally get here in Memphis," said Eric Bourgeois, marketing director for Packed House Productions — one of the producers of the festival. “Personally, I am excited to try some varieties from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon, as well as some beers from our local pals like Beale Street Brewing Co. and Crosstown Brewing Co.

Nine Memphis breweries will be at the event, serving a selection of their brews.

DJ J2 will be the entertainment on the field, and Chris Hill will perform an acoustic set in the VIP area. There will also be a handful of vendors, offering everything from merchandise to an IV hydration station.

Packed House Productions (which owns Memphis restaurants like Slider Inn and Aldo’s Pizza Pies) partners with Nashville-based Good Beer Events to bring the festival to Memphis each year.

Bourgeois says to arrive early. Lines at the entrance usually start forming about 30 minutes to an hour before the gates open.

To skip the rush, Bourgeois recommends purchasing a VIP ticket.
