More than 100 people take ‘Polar Bear Plunge’ to support the YMCA of Centre County

More than 100 people participated Saturday morning in the YMCA of Centre County’s “Polar Bear Plunge,” held this year at two sites.

Twenty-five people plunged into Penns Creek behind Grace United Church of Christ in Spring Mills. At the same time, others participated in the traditional site at Black Moshannon State Park.

The event raised more than $35,000 for the YMCA of Centre County, according to a Facebook post from the organization.
