More animals are being surrendered to the Humane Society

The number of animals being surrendered to the Humane Society is up 38% compared to this time last year. Humane Society could not say why it's happening but they say as Colorado Springs continues to grow, the number of animals in our city also increases. Thankfully, the Humane Society says the number of animals getting returned has decreased. The Humane Society also says that while the increase in animals has not impacted their operation, they are always looking for volunteers to help out with care for their animals.
